WOODSIDE ROUNDABOUT

David was commissioned to develop a large roundabout at the main entrance to the Woodside operated Karratha Gas Plant.

The concept was based on the surrounding landscape of the Burrup Peninsula which features some prolific Aboriginal petroglyphs (rock engraving).

Colours used are influenced by the landscape. All the designs were hand-drawn onto the concrete blocks and then sandblasted.

Goanna sculptures were created by Joan & Charlie Smith, Smith Sculptors WA.
